More evidence gives schools appropriate know-how to reopen.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released its guidance for in-person schooling last Friday. It does not differ significantly from the guidelines that they have issued for businesses, but the CDC strongly emphasizes that the basic steps – wearing masks, washing hands, and disinfecting surfaces – be strictly enforced to curtail virus transmission.
“We know that most clusters in the school setting have occurred when there are breaches in mask-wearing,” Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the CDC’s director said to reporters. “We’ve used stronger languages than prior guidance. We’ve been much more prescriptive here as to putting some guardrails on what can and should be done to get to a safe reopening.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the CDC as they issue guidance to reduce the transmission of the virus.
- That U.S. educators and teachers would follow CDC guidelines to reopen schools.
